01 Apr 2025

West Suffolk Council is calling for bin-fluencers to share information on bin collection changes to make sure friends and neighbours don’t miss a collection due to the Easter and spring bank holiday.
The Good Friday bank holiday falls on 18 April, followed by Easter Monday on 21 April. The early May bank holiday falls on 5 May. Normal service resumes on Monday 12 May.
The spring bank holiday falls on 26 May. Normal service resumes on Monday 2 June.
Cllr David Taylor, Cabinet Member for Operations, said: “We truly appreciate the support of West Suffolk bin-fluencers in reminding friends, family and neighbours to put their bins out. We also encourage residents to continue recycling and reducing waste. If you’re having a spring clean and are unsure about recycling specific items, please visit: Suffolk Recycles - What to do with? (A-Z).”
West Suffolk Council empty 83,500 bins each week and are grateful to residents in assisting friends, family and neighbours with the bin schedule changes.
