Our approach to working with families and communities

We work with families and communities across our area, to support them and enable them to become healthy, active and resilient and to achieve their goals.

A Summary of our Families and Communities approach

Examples of the changes that have taken place in West Suffolk’s communities are included in a set of case studies

Looking ahead, over the period 2020-2024, we have committed to a number of actions, designed to achieve our strategic priority of ‘Resilient families and communities that are healthy and active’. These can be found on page 16 of our West Suffolk Council Strategic Framework

Our families and communities approach is led by West Suffolk’s councillors with the support of Families and Communities officers, each of whom works in a specific area or locality. To find out who your councillor is and how to contact them visit Councillors and meetings. Find out who your locality officer is and how to contact them by using the Families and Communities Ward Map.
